Listen in, listen Ian!
I was in the street behind the National Gallery earlier when a car pulled up, a woman got out and all the pigeons suddenly started going mental when they saw her.

Then she dumped a bag of food on the pavement, and this happened:

Hasn't she just broken the law? And you've posted a picture of her on an unlocked post!

Possibly. Although she obviously does it regularly, and wasn't bothered about being seen.

Loads of cafes seem to dump their bread in the Regent's Canal at Ladbroke Grove - the other day when the canal was frozen over it was carnage - the ducks were sliding into each other. Wish I had a camera on me then!

Would it be as awesome if she were feeding bits of moldy food to swarming cockroaches? I see little difference.

Yes, it would be as awesome, and I agree there's little difference. Teh awsomeness is seeing nature swarming. I also agree that it's extremely unhygienic, and I think it should be discouraged if not actually illegal.

Also, I imagine the roaches and mouldy food would be significantly smellier than the pigeons are.
