Listen in, listen Ian!
This is excellent. When I do get a cat, I'm totally going to get one that's the same colour as my carpet.

I can just picture you prowling around Battersea Dogs' Home with a swatch...

At my old home in Southend we had a hideous carpet, strange sort of tabby coloured floral Victorian pattern. Anyway, it was the same shades of tabby as the cat - consequently he was trodden on a lot.

Excellent icanhazcheezburger pic

It can be dangerous though. Dawson-cat is a perfect match for the beanbag and the sofa cushions. I sat on him once when I didn't see him on the beanbag and another time managed to shout "cat!" just in time as G was mid-sit down.

Yes, this. Teep is exactly the same colour as the furry cat-blanket thing I bought to put on chairs etc. How that poor tiny animal has been spared being crushed beneath my vast descending arse, is beyond me. Only her eyes betray her presence.

It's only worth getting a cat like that if you have gazelles for it ambush in your house.

We have a dark red and black rug in the front room, and dim lighting. Just means the black cat gets trodden on a lot.
My Dad properly stomped on him by accident at Christmas, and the cat was really upset, as was my Dad.
