Listen in, listen Ian!
As a diabetic I have to inject myself three or four times a day with insulin, but it's not a great hardship as it's a tiny needle, and you can hardly feel it go in1. It occasionally causes a slight bruise, but nothing serious. Except now - I injected my thigh the other day with a brand new needle, and now I've got an enormous bruise on my leg. It's about two inches in diameter and multi-coloured in concentric circles2. It's nasty.

What's the point of multi-coloured concentric circles and camera phones otherwise?

Matt loves it when I get bruises. He thinks they are fun and colourful.

Yes. Not eacatly why I married the man, but it does make me laugh and forget I look a bit like he has been beating me up!

I don't think I've ever had concentric circles though, that is some skill there!

I get that sometimes - looks shocking but feels fine, usually. Can be used to get sympathy, though.
