Listen in, listen Ian!
Hello England! How's the tube strike going? It got a mention on the news here, as did something about the Met using waterboarding or something, but that one I only saw on a ticker on the bottom of a news channel - WTF?

The Tube strike is still, er, going. I think that this morning everyone has cottoned on to the fact that the Northern Line is still running, as it was PACKED on the way in (it was virtually empty yesterday). I am at work 20 mins early. "Hurrah"!

Sorry, under the new National Unity Laws, we can't discuss the actions of our valiant security forces.

There is a good service on all lines. There has always been a good service on all lines.

Yeah, it's one of their new "outreach" programmes. Where are you? Can we all come and join you?

Sigh. I do wish you wouldn't continue to speak so harshly about the People's representative, comrade.

The drug squad in, oh, somewhere up north London have been torturing drug suspects and nicking their possessions. They're not supposed to do this, so we're allowed to call it torture and theft (otherwise it would be enhanced interrogation and proceeds of crime recovery or some such bollocks).

According to the BBC report "A man has claimed his head was put down a toilet which was then repeatedly flushed during a drugs raid last year". I don't know if this is actually classified as torture under the Geneva Convention or whatever, but calling it torture makes for a much better headline. Didn't stuff like this happen all the time in The Sweeney?

I think it's like surfing, only you do it whilst wearing a police uniform. Some sort of a fetish thing.

Waterboarding that is, not the tube strike. That's a ploy by Bob Crow and his cronies to make themselves even more unpopular than they already are. Seems to be going very successfully in that respect.
