Nude plinth man sparks complaint

So far, so mundane.

Ex-detective Mark Williams-Thomas said his wife and children were "annoyed and upset". He complained to police but Mr Holwell was not taken off the plinth.

...

But Mr Williams-Thomas, a former Surrey Police detective constable, said his three children, aged between eight and 13 years old, were "very shocked and embarrassed" by Mr Holwell's nudity.

No they weren't, they thought it was funny. Children do.

Meh - children are shocked and embarrassed by whatever they've been taught to be shocked and embarrassed by. If the man had been a naked statue, would it have been different, I wonder?

Perhaps his children have no bodies and thus had no idea what other people have under their clothes.

And frankly, if they were very shocked and embarrassed, he should have taken them away, not stayed to complain to the police!
