Listen in, listen Ian!
For no especially good reason, other than that the 144 which goes past my house goes there I went to Edmonton Green this weekend. I got off the bus a bit early and walked through Pymmes Park, which turned out to be an excellent park. Excitingly, I saw a water vole there, but although it stood and stared at me for a while the stupid batteries in my camera chose that moment to run out, and so I didn't get a photo of it. Still, a water vole! Then I went to Asda and bought 7 pairs of socks for £2.50 and a pair of slippers for £2.50 in the sale, and a load of fish from the reduced to clear section which is in my freezer now.

Last night I cooked lamb shanks for the first time ever. Mmm, they were good.

Also this weekend I've been noticing things.

Who else is going to see Poo Art Wee tomorrow then?

Pymmes Park! My family all grew up on Victoria Road, which runs along one side of the park. Indeed, across the road from the corner of the park used to be the motor garage belonging to Bruce Forsyth's dad. My Pa remembers Brucie, before he was famous, helping in his Dad's garage.
