Listen in, listen Ian!
Herein, some disjointed thoughts and experiences that I haven't thought it worth creating individual posts for:|
I discovered a rotten egg last week! I was making scrambled eggs, and having cracked the first two into a bowl, when I cracked the third it turned out to have a very thin shell, and the yolk was brown, and it smelt. it smelt very bad - you know when someone says that something smells like rotten eggs? Well it doesn't, not even close. Bleurgh.
The worst thing was that it ruined the two I'd already cracked, and I only had one left. You can't make a single scrambled egg, can you? That would be pointless.
I've discovered the joy of BBC iPlayer on the Wii. It's excellent, and through it I've also discovered the joy of Only Connect, which I'd heard a few people talking about but never watched. It's good, like a whole load of the 'What connects?' quiz in the Observer that seems to have fallen victim to the relaunch of that paper chiz chiz.

On Sunday I went to see Points of View at the British Library. It didn't feature Terry Wogan's c0ck, but it did feature a load of interesting 19th century photos, from the earliest days of photography onwards. I liked the ones of the construction of the Aswan Dam, which just looked like millions of people all doing their own thing to no particular plan, and the Muybridge motion pictures. It's good, go and see it in the next week and a bit before it finishes. The British Library's pretty good all round really.
