Staff meeting today at work, and an extraordinary performance from the MD. Some context: we are a company which is part of a plc. We are the only decent bit of it, we prop the rest of it up and we all know it. Now it seems that the MD doesn't care who knows that he knows it too. Said he was pissed off about our company being used as a cash cow, referred to the group as "them" rather than "us", took the piss out of the brochure containing the most recent set of results and during a brief, but entertaining diversion about his divorce settlement said something along the lines of "...and I'm left with 338,00 shares in X[the plc]. Great."

Tesco's: if 400g of chocolate digestives cost 84p, then 600g costing £1.36 should not bear the legend "Big value pack!"
