Listen in, listen Ian!
I had a great topic to update about, which was going to produce a post full of emotion, humour, verve and elan. There's a first time for everything, after all. This is ALL RUINED now, as one of the ignorant arseholes from the sales department next door has been into our bit to have a conversation on his mobile. He does this all the time, apparently neither realising nor caring how rude and distracting it is to hear him wandering around blaring out tedious conversation about frozen mashed potato. Apparently it's quieter in here than in the sales department, which is true but that isn't because we want to provide an environment for him to make phone calls in. It's because it's quieter, and not having people rambling on about frozen sprouts in the background allows us to get work done. By his rationale a library would be an appropriate place to go and start making calls on his mobile. Not that I don't imagine people do that already.

Also, at one point he mentioned that a product (I can't remember what) is no longer produced using lupin flour. Lupin flour?

Has anyone actually tried telling this bloke that you would all prefer him not to come into your area to make his phone calls because it interrupts your work?

Heh. Nope, just being practical. Have decided to take that sort of approach myself in life of late. If someone is doing something that's pissing me off, I will (politely) ask them to stop, and explain the effect their behaviour is having. If they still carry on doing it, I will kill them. Slowly and painfully.

Yes, believe me, libraries are the new place for mobile chats apparently.

Yes, lupin flour. I once read on the packaging of a food product that it contained lupin flour. My Dad always told me that lupins were poisonous.

I had no idea lupins could be used to make flour.
