Weekend [Oct. 3rd, 2005|10:52 pm]
Listen in, listen Ian!
On Saurday I went to a football match, and then saw rainbow over Piccadilly Circus before going to rhodri and strictlytrue's birthday drinks, where as well as many familiar faces I also met sambodiplanco, moleintheground and thermaland for the first time, as well as people who I was only introduced to with real names. Hello to you all!

Yesterday I went to a wedding. It was a Catholic one, and as such the service lasted an agonising hour and twenty minutes, while my friends and I ensured a swift passage to hell by sitting at the back giggling at the mumbo-jumbo. The other main incident of note was that someone tried to send me what I suspect was a bluetooth virus to my phone at the reception (a file called 3__34a2t.sis which tried to install itself) so I did a scan to see what bluetooth phones were around. The only one I found was called "cum gargler". Hmm. Perhaps that's what the virus changes the name of your phone to.

I drove home from Birmingham after the wedding, getting home at half past one so I had the day off today. After some routine stuff with insurance and gas board call centres this morning, I went to the Horniman Museum in the afternoon which was excellent. I saw a squirrel chasing two magpies on a turf covered roof before I even got inside, so after that it had to be good. The Natural History bit had a load of ape skellingtons which are possibly the scariest thing I've ever seen in a museum. There's also a musical bit where I played Stone Roses songs on a dulcimer. Then I had some chinese food, then went to quiz where they were all deciding to go for Chinese food afterwards. D'oh. So now I'm home.

Those ape skellingtons look like they're in a band.

(did you get my text the other night? Thank you thank you!)

The two on the left are whispering to each other. One's saying "let's break out of the display case and kill all humans!".

FANTASTIC rainbow photo! Not sure I'd want a lobster in my weddings photos, though. Told you the Horniman was good!

The row of severed dog heads is the bit that freaks me out.

Wedding hell

Only an hour and a half? I once went to a service of blessing of matrimony by some holy roller sect (the ministers of which aren't actually licensed to perform weddings, so the couple had actually got legally hitched in the local register office): it was interminable, and full of people speaking in tongues.

I definitely wouldn't want that scary painting in the background of my wedding pics. Even if the cake looks lush.

I have those monkeys on my phone wallpaper! It scares me every time i go to use the phone.
