It took me ages to get to sleep last night, and then when I finally did I was woken not all that much later by the newspapers being delivered to the paper shop across the road when the men from WH Smiths wholesale leaving the van on their engine running was a good thing to do. I woke up twice more as the night went on.

I suppose falling asleep when I got home last night until about 9.00 didn't help a lot really. Thing to do this weekend: get up at a vaguely normal time on Sunday and then go to bed at a sensible time on Sunday night thus not being tired for all of next week.

Co-signed. I've had lousy sleep all week, can't wait for early tomorrow morning, or rather my complete ignorance of it as it passes by.

I've not been sleeping that well for the last week or so and yesterday I think I worked out why. I've been drinking much more tea than coffee which is unusual for me. But when I drink coffee I always have decaf. So lately I've had more caffeine. Yesterday I switched back to decaf coffee and suddenly had a good nights sleep last night. It might be a coincidence though I suppose.

This is all irrelevant to you I know since you don't drink either tea or coffee.

So my advice to you (apart from going to bed at sensible times) is to steer clear of large amounts of Red Bull, Coca cola,
chocolate, amphetamines and cocaine.

If you are having trouble getting to sleep may I recommend you read 'Something Happened' by Joseph Heller?
