Listen in, listen Ian!
I ordered a pizza last night from Lupa, after eyekiller told me
that they're good from there. I ordered it at about eight, then at about
half past I got a text message telling me it was on the way. It didn't
arrive, so just after nine I called the restaurant to see where it was.

There was some initial confusion, and then when they found the order and
read it back to me the man said he's see what was going on and call me back
in a couple of minutes. He did, and said that he didn't know why I'd got
the message then, the order had only appeared on their screen at that point
and the man had left with the pizza just two minutes ago. It duly turned
up, and tasted suspiciously like a pizza that had been sitting on top of
the oven for forty minutes to me.

Yeah, I know, I should have called them back and complained but that would
have involved effort and possible confrontation. I'm doing the terribly
English thing of just not using them again.

While I'm on the subject, the Mongolian Barbeque in Covent Garden are
t0ssers too.

You will merely be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Only if my face liked going-stale lukewarm pizza, which it doesn't much. It only ate it because it was gone nine and it was pretty hungry by then.

To be honest, it didn't look like it would have been anything all that special if it had been hot out of the oven - it was a bit too perfectly round to be a proper woodfired one like you get in really good Italian restaurants.

Ah, but looks aren't everything.
It's a shame.

The food is disappointing and the staff were surly and also not very helpful (well, OK, some of them were fine, but in general...). But oh, PIZZA. I want pizza now. Mmmm.

Tim hasn't even told you the worst part, when they phoned him and woke him up.
