Covent G. Station, In camouflage combat pants, Comic Tony Hawks.
One for pipistrellus there. This was on Tuesday morning as I was getting off the train having just got to work, he was wandering on to the platform. I've often wondered about the people catching the train away from there when I'm arriving. Seriously, who catches a train from Covent Garden at 9 am. Is it people who live there, and don't start work until late? Is it people who got to work really early and are going home now? Or is it just comedians doing research for their next book, "Round the underground with two days' stubble in the small hours"?
I played softball last night for the first time this year. I'm joining a new team, as the team I played for in the past play mainly in Wandsworth, and my new team, the Tecumsehs, play their home games in Clissold Park which is clearly much better. They seem a nice bunch, and I even played well, hitting the ball quite a long way and drawing admiring glances. Just wait for that to stop once pre-seaon training ends and the season proper begins.
Watering can update: I still haven't bought one. But after today, four days off work! Which will be excellent, and involve lots of time for buying household and garden tools. I haven't got anything planned really after tomorrow - I have to stay in waiting for a delivery on Saturday but that's about it. |
