I can't help thinking the article should have said "boffins" instead of "scientists" and been printed in a down-market tabloid instead of the BBC website.

We heard that on the radio. The announcer said "scientists discover how to make the prefect bacon butty" and OldBloke said "add another rasher". Which I think is the best way.

hehe, i was thinking "2 or 3 rashers????" three is just about acceptable if it's thick enough, but if there's only two, you mayaswell not bother...
