Have the KLF even been to the North? Who calls Scarborough "on sea?" Pendlebury's a small district of Salford, not a town, and where's Skem? Do they mean Skelmersdale?

Skem is indeed Skelmersdale, and believe me nobody would want to go there.

Kearsley's hardly a town either, and where do they mean by "Stanley" - the little place outside Wakefield? As for the KLF, Bill Drummond is a South African-born Scot and Jimmy Cauty comes from Devon, though they did live in Liverpool for a while.

NOT EVEN PROPER NORTH ;) all of the places are midlands at best.

if i remember correctly "stanley" comes after accrington, as the song itself isn't alphamabetical like the list. unless they mean the small Durham ex-mining village...

I can add Chorley, Colne, Nelson, Ormskirk and Southport to that!

(Knutsford services, do they count?)

I might be getting mixed up, but didn't you once go to Grimsby town's football ground? If so, you have been to Cleethorpes.

They've got to try harder than Harrogate and Hebden Bridge for 'grim'.
