Listen in, listen Ian!
Dear Sainsbury's,

Is this product called "Bacon, cheese and onion quiche"? No, it's called "Bacon and cheese quiche". Perhaps you could therefore explain why it contains such a high proportion of onions. I did not realise this was the case until I had cooked the product. I dislike onions, and if it had been clearly stated on the packaging that onions were so prevalent I would not have purchased the product. Please take care to label your products more accurately, with particular regard to significant ingredients so that customers may have an informed choice without the need to so closely scrutinise the ingredients list.

But . . . onions are in everything. It's not quite like asking that food doesn't contain any water or salt or flour, but there are vague similarities. Sadly, if you don't like something so omnipresent, you're going to have to check the ingredients list. There has to be some limit as to what makes the headline.

I agree. I hate carrots and tomatoes, but have accepted that they are in everything, so always check.

Getting sick of picking bell peppers out of ready meals was one of the things that drove me to start cooking for myself. Even after you pick the sneaky feckers out you can still taste them.

Did you get onion burps all night?

I bought some mini Cornish pasties for lunch a while ago, confident G would like them because they were described on the front as containing "potato and swede". Of course they were riddled with carrots, and of course pathological carrot-hater G spotted this before I did.

I have just learnt that :

"Cheese is not an ingredient of the original Lorraine recipe,"

and...

"The addition of onion to quiche Lorraine makes quiche alsacienne."

...and felt the need to share it.

It must be true - it's on wikipedia:

I think if you submit yourself to eating quiche then you should expect such things. Quiche is wrong.
