Listen in, listen Ian!
Hello. I have, as I do at this time every year received anywhere from one to several invitations to join people's fantasy football leagues. When I ignore yours, please don't be offended by it. I assure you it's nothing personal, I just don't like fantasy football.|
(Unless there's a league out there where I'm allowed to just select 11 Manchester United players. I don't want it to be a good thing when anyone else scores a goal or keeps a clean sheet or anything.)
Despite hearing about it occasionally, and probably asking about it once or twice I imagine, I have no real understanding of what fantasy football is. Maybe I once knew but forgot about it, I dunno.
So anyway, I suppose I know slightly less about fantasy football than I do about real football.
I played for a couple of years and then found that 1) it annoyed me 2) like you I don't want anyone doing well except my team (and whoever is playing Arsenal that day and your team if it means you stop them or Chelsea winning the league) 3) it caused me unnecessary stress when I couldn't access a computer to sort out my team etc. So I gave up and am much happier for it.
I'm sure there must be leagues where the object of team selection is to finish last ...?
Sorry! Thought it would have been right up your street. I'll know better for next year!
Oh, don't apologise, you weren't to know. I know I'm an exception to the rule.
Have you got your ice hockey ticket yet?
Nah, haven't received notification that it's been dispatched either. You got yours?
No, but that's okay, if you haven't either they've obviously not sent them out yet.
doing a fantasy team is my only interest in the so-called premiership, it's great...
