Listen in, listen Ian!
Yo! Sushi have a pretty good offer on at the moment - one of each colour
plate for £10. This is the banner image on the email they've sent to the
mailingl list advertising it:

Ah yes, nothing says cheap sushi like a man exposing himself to a rainbow.

Mobile phone news: I'm going to get a new phone soon as I'm coming to the
end of my contract. I like the basic tariff I'm on - £14 a month for
essentially all the texts and calls I need - but I'm spending a fair bit on
mobile internet at the moment and I think I must be able to do better. O2
don't seem to have any kind of data package I can add on to my tariff, so
unless they magically discover something when I ring up to tell them I'm
leaving I think I'll probably go to Vodafone, who have a £7.50 add on which
allows up to 120MB per month, far less than I've ever used while spending
£20 a month at the moment. Looking around websites at phones though it
seems that most of the big places like Carphone Warehouse don't do phones
on Vodafone - is there some reason for this? Have Vodafone gone bust and
are going to go bankrupt next week or something?

isn't it because Vodaphone have their own shops and things? I have nothing bad to say about Vodaphone which you'll agree is unusual for me. Oh wait - they are red. Evil red. Yes, don't go with them because they are red is the only thing I can come up with.

The man on the phone said they have one where you can get 2MB for £3pm or 4MB for £5pm, which is rubbish compared to the 120MB for £7.50pm on Vodafone. Also, they weren't prepared to extend the £5pm discount on my line rental that they gave me to make me stay with them 12 months ago, and wanted me to go to a £25pm tariff instead of the £13.99 I'm paying now. When I asked how that would be better for me, he didn't say much.

Vodafone it is then.

I misread that as "Rainbow Otter".

I think I need to get my eyes tested.
