At this stage, would it not make sense just to execute everyone who works for the railways, and start over? I mean, sorry if that would affect you or your nearest and dearest, but you know, the greater good and all that.

I don't want to distract from what's obviously the major part of a sad story, but it can't have been very fatal, can it?

You have to love the trains, doncha? ISTR something about new stock that was too wide so a lot of stations had to have their platforms trimmed. Or something. A few years back. Or maybe I dreamt it. Entirely possible.
