librul: Is it right to buy a cheap shirt that was made in Bangladesh?

non-librul: Is it right to buy a shirt that looks like it was made from a tablecloth?

They've gone mad, and reversed the direction of one-wayness on Long Acre due to roadworks. It's confusing to cross now.

Johan Norberg says that if you don't buy a cheap shirt made in Bangladesh then you're depriving Bangladeshi factory workers of jobs, and that what you should actually do is buy as many cheap shirts made in Bangladesh as you possibly can, to create a demand for Bangladeshi factory workers, which will mean that employers have to compete for them by offering better pay and conditions.

I don't know how accurate all of this is, but I imagine it's enough to convince someone for the length of time it takes to buy a shirt.

If you can't put elbows on tablecloths, I don't think you can stand on them either.
