Listen in, listen Ian!
I spent this weekend being visited by parents. We didn't do a great deal,
but just went for walks around Alexandra Palace and Park on Saturday, and
into the centre of London to be touristy on Sunday. We walked down
Piccadilly, and went in the new Japanese discount store next to the Japan
centre, which is excellent and looks like it's recommended for all your
cheap Japanese food needs. Then we went in Fortnum and Mason, which is
nonsense, and is recommended for all your vastly overpriced food needs. My
favourite was a jar - about the size of a normal jam jar - of flying
saucers which was priced at £9.50. According to the label it contained 30
grams. Flying saucers for £300/kilo there, marvellous. There was a loaf of
bread there priced up at 45p, which should obviously have been £4.50 so I
condidered buying it on principle.

After that, we walked through Green Park and St James's Parl where we saw a
rat near the coffee stand, loads of squirrels, pelicans and bar-headed
geese.

I need a haircut quite badly. My hair's got to the point where I'm flicking
it away from my eyes so frequently that last week I was giving spoonrefuter the impression that I've developed a tic. But, y'know,
getting a haircut is so dull isn't it? I really really really cba, even
just to spend 15 minutes in Mr Topper's after work. Tomorrow perhaps. But
not tonight.

I can smell something like macaroni cheese that someone here's got for
lunch and it's made me decide that I'm going to make macaroni cheese
tonight.

No, it's just a new part of the Japan Centre. Mmm, Japan. Look, dried sardines!

Yum! Assuming that is they taste anything like the fish and seaweed sprinkles I put on my rice. I see they do rice moulds. I may have to make a purchase.

Yeah, but they'd have to have a posh label. Perhaps we could make one saying "Mortnum and Fason" or something like that?
