Listen in, listen Ian!
- I've forgotten my phone today, tsk. I've also forgotten my watch, so I
have no way of telling the time at all that I can take out at lunchtime.
Long lunch it is then.
- There were delays on the tube this morning, and there were loads of
people getting off at Finsbury Park. There was one woman pushing against
the flow of people getting off, and I thought she was ridiculously trying
to get on the train at that point but no, she ws just trying to reclaim her
bag which had got caught up next to the doors as she got off. I wondered
why none of the people trying to get off had punched her.
- I was watching old episodes of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares
last night that I'd downloaded and not got round to watching at the time.
One of them was a haute cuisine restaurant in Inverness where he criticised
the chef for cooking things that were too complicated - one dish he ordered
had fourteen different flavours in it - and told him to concentrate on just
cooking stuff well, which he was clearly very capable of.
On the train this morning was a woman of about twenty - actually, she was
probably thirty but I seem to have reached the age where I subtract ten
from anyone's real age. I'd have asked her for ID anyway. - who was wearing
a red, yellow and black checked shirt, a scarf that was green, white,
violet and purple and a big black and white hat with ear flaps. She also
had a brown leather jacket over her arm. The same principle applies as with
the food surely? There was just too much going on with what she was
wearing. It didn't help either that she had huge hair, and a tiny face
peeping out of all this. More fashion hints for commuters tomorrow,
- They should do a 'Doctor tries to mend the chameleon circuit' story in
New Who. That'd definitely be good.
