Listen in, listen Ian!
This is all
nonsense, surely?
Just because people won't spend all the extra money
in the pubs the money won't cease to exist, will it? Perhaps people will do
mre DIY on their houses and gardens instead, so it won't be bad for the
economy, merely bad for pub companies. For B&Q it will be a bonanza.

Also, it will be bad for productivity apparently. I thought it was bad for
productivity when England qualify, because everyone's skiving to watch the
games? Does anyone else think that economists, and business experts don't
actually know what they're talking about, and make it up as they go along?

Drunk people buy more crap on E-bay and, therefore, keep the Post Office functioning. I can state that this is definitely true because I am a fully qualified bollocksologist and, more importantly, my mum and dad do this all the time.
