Listen in, listen Ian!
Meh. It's rubbish at this time of a Sunday, when you know that the weekend's pretty much over and before you know it you'll be back at work innit. Still, it's been a fun weekend without going more than a couple of miles from home all weekend. On Friday night I went to my softball team's Christams do, which was pizza at Pappagone's and then bowling at Rowans which was interesting - I've never been to a bowling alley where you have to get searched on the way in.

On Saturday I mooched around the house all day, doing nothing much except putting my PSP on eBay and then in the evening I went to see the Mountain Goats playing at the Union Chapel. They were excellent, and I also saw Alasdair Roberts and Micah P. Hinson who were good too - Hinson ending the gig by proposing to his girlfriend on stage. Aw. Excellent night all round.

Today I just went out into Crouch End to go round the shops. When I got home, I watched Middlesbrough V Arsenal and baked. First I made the previously mentioned Dalek cookies, and then a sponge cake. I tried to make a strawberry icing to go with it using strawberries, cream cheese and icing sugar, but it was highly experimental, and I think I used far too many strawberries for the not very much cream cheese I had - it turned out far too runny, but tasty enough. This evening I've finally got round to ordering replacements for the bits of my food processor that got misplaced when I moved over a year ago - yes, I know - and doing other similarly dull stuff. As I type this I'm watching the first ever episode of Countdown, that I downloaded a few months ago and there are a few notable things:

1. It's all really, really stilted.
2. One of the competitors is really abrupt, and just says "Consonant!" in a sharp voice rather than "Consonant please" or even just sounding pleasant. And he wins, tsk.
3. They're rubbish at the numbers game - they got nowhere near either of them and I got them both really quickly. See if you can do any better:

4 6 7 10 3 1, target 493
7 1 3 1 3 50, target 833

(10 * 7 * (6 + 1)) + 3 = 493
(50 - 1) * (10 + 7) = 833

And finally, via everyone, weird animal speary tetris type game. It good. Play it all day in the office.

I wish. My work firewall doesn't like it for some reason.

Hey, your ebay user is "grabfangs"

I'd almost forgotten about grabfangs. Did I invent that, or you?

I got the first one, but not the second, even though I'd written down 49 * 17! I assume in the second one that the 10 is actually ((3*3)+1)?
