Listen in, listen Ian!
Hooray1, back at work! I have a 100% punctuality rate so far this year! Let's see how long I can keep that up for. My prediction is: not very. I'm tired because having gone to bed late after New Year's Eve, and consquently got up late yesterday I couldn't get to sleep until late last night. I'm sure you're all in the same state though. Today should be a holiday, but one where a big alarm, audible nationwide goes off at, say, nine o'clock so that everyone gets a chance to adjust gently.

There was an exciting new commuter based annoyance this morning: there was a man on the tube snoring. Nobody should have to put up with that.

1Not hooray.

I also have a 100% punctuality rate for the year. I even got in early but couldn't actually work for two hours until someone from IT turned up as my computer locked me out!

I decided not to bother telling work exactly when I was coming back in, so I got to decide at the last minute. It turned out that I came back today, but just for the half day this afternoon.

I was exactly the same. I meant to set an alarm for 10am yesterday, but stayed in bed to 1pm, thus was screwed for wakefulness today. I'll sleep well (and early) tonight, though.
