Listen in, listen Ian!
I have what is possibly the stomach bug, except I'm not vomiting. I never vomit anyway - once in about the last 20 years, after going to a party where everyone who'd been was ill afterwards, I blame the ham - but I seem to have all the other symptoms - feveris, the tom tits and crippling stomach pains, that aren't constant but seem to come in waves of agony. I'm fine right now, but in five minutes I'll probbaly have to walk around clutching my stomach for a couple of minutes. Or be on the toilet.

It started when I woke up this morning, and normally would have kept me off work but I had important stuff that needed doing, so I staggered in. I could hardly concentrate though, and lasted until about lunchtime when I staggered home again. I then crawled into bed and slept fitfully until about 2 hours ago and probably messing up my already non-ideal sleep pattern.

If this makes me miss Poptimism I won't be happy.

And that, people, is why stomach bugs go around so quickly.

So that's why all the news reports over here were asking people to stay at home for two full days after their symptoms have disappeared.
