Office flood. [Apr. 28th, 2008|10:14 am]
Listen in, listen Ian!
This is near my company's London office:

There's no power there, so I can't get to my email. Everyone there is apparently going to be sent home. I resent this, can they not all get sent to client sites for the day too? I hope it rains.

Oooh, I bet a small child got sucked into that runnel thing and has clogged it up. It was an accident waiting to happen.

The Shipwright Arms is indestructible. And anyway, I suspect that they rely on the occasional flood to clean the carpet...

It's in Cotton's Centre, between Tooley Street and the river.

I feel your pain. All my colleagues (and Mr W) are rejocing in their unexpected free day and I'm stuck in a training course. I hope I get a day off in lieu but I'm not expecting one. I hope they can't sort the flood out for at least another week. I hope we get paid millions of pounds of compensation for the personal distress of being unable to check our work emails after wasting another sunday night psyching ourselves up for them. Etc.
