It was a bubble universe centred on Donna, not The Universe we live in. But it opened the door for The Darkness to release their next albummove against all universes.

That works though - as the Doctor's dead, the events of Utopia never happen, so the Master still thinks he's Professor Yana and presumably dies.

The Carrionites were probably stopped by the 16th century incarnation of UNIT, led by Christopher Marlowe.
