Listen in, listen Ian!
I think the late nights caught up with me last night. Normally I go to bed some time between one and two in the morning which is neither big nor clever, and obviously I'm pretty much always exhausted the next day. Last night when I got in it was getting on for ten, and by the time I'd eaten and put some washing in and stuff it was gone eleven. I was suddenly really tired, and had a headache, and my eyes were a bit funny, so I thought I'd go to bed. Apart from a brief period of wakefulness at about half past twelve for a hypo1 I had the best midweek night's sleep ever, and woke up lovely and refreshed. Sleep there, marvellous.

1Thanks, diabetes! I think I know why this one happened - as well as the insulin I inject before each meal I have a daily background injection, which is a slow acting insulin intended to handle the glucode your liver periodically releases into the bloodstream just for a laugh. This is supposed to be done at the same time every day +/- one hour, and usually I do it at bedtime, so about one in the morning. Last night with going to be early it was at about eleven, so I assume that the extra bit of overlap caused a buildup of insulin, which made me wake up and go "NEED SUGAR".
