Listen in, listen Ian!
lebeautemps et al to go to Battersea Power Station on sunday but I was supposed to be meeting up with |they told me al wasn't going so I didn't bother my body clock let me down, and I didn't wake up until half eleven. Normally, my body clock wakes me up at about eight at the weekend shouting "It's time for work!" and then I manage to slumber for a couple of hours more at most, but annoyingly, when I wanted to wake up I couldn't. Hmph. I used the time relatively productively though, and my lounge is now the tidiest it's been since I moved in - I could almost invite guests round now. More on that later, maybe.
In the evening, I went and ate excellent pancakes with eyekiller, metallikat, sevenwindmills, mr_shaun and a bunch of WINOLJs, then after that I went across to London Bridge to talk about politics, love, Chris Rea themed restaurants and weird, tacky pictures of the Mother of God with more people than I can be bothered to type out the names of. We decided that teh Muslims will never catch up with the Catholics in the field of tacky memorabilia until they allow pictures of their prophet.
I missed another thing on Sunday morning, but this one was more acceptable as it was the bird-watching walk of Alexandra Palace Ornithology group which was due to meet at eight in the morning at the car park there. We decided on Saturday night that this was just a silly idea really, so went a few hours later to the farmers' market instead and had toasted sandwiches.
Now, have we bought Berbatov yet?
