Listen in, listen Ian!
The plot of today's episode of Doctors is effectively "Schroedinger's Dead Kitten".

Geeky Bloke accidentally runs kitten over, and for some reason wanders into Doctors' surgery in attempt to track down owner, mentioning in passing that he's writing a dissertation on quantum physics. He discovers that the owner of kitten is Hot French Chick, and so he puts the kitten in his freezer and hatches a cunning plot to win her love by appearing to be trying to help her find the kitten, rationalising it to one of the surgery staff by pointing out that from HFC's point of view, the kitten is still a quantum possibility at one stage.

Inevitably, HFC eventually opens the freezer, and it turns out she's a lezzer anyway, so no harm done, after a lot of fun with her talking about putting pictures of 'my Minuit[the kitten's name, of course]' all over the town, which sounds ruder than it should on daytime TV. All good stuff really.

Oh my word, that sounds magnificent. The French lesbian was the icing on the fondant fancy, so to speak.

But what on earth was HF(L)C's reaction to finding her Minuit in the freezer? Wouldn't you just want Quantum Bloke locked up?!

Is Mr 'Erriot still on Doctors these days?

One of the surgery staff was there, and took responsibility in some way that I actually can't remember now.

The vitnery's not on it any more, no. There's Noreika out of The Bill, and Victor Meldrew's next door neighbour though.

If I don't watch daytime tellevision, can it be both awsome and not-awesome at the same time?

I do love Doctors. Not enough to set the Sky+ to record it obv, but it is one of the (only) things I miss about writing up the PhD...

So... is the Dr in the wheelchair still an insufferable arse? Did the hippy Dr married to the lawyer have a sprog now? Is she still married to the lawyer?

I don't think any of those people are in it any more. The Dr in the wheelchair definitley isn't. There's now humourless woman doctor, evile promiscuous man doctor, and wet doctor.

The one in the wheelchair had A Miraculous Recovery, managed to take a few steps, and INSTANTLY got run over by a truck and died.

Hippy is still with the lawyer as far as I know (he's got into bizarre undercover gangster shenanigans) and I think they have a kid called Bronwen, but that might be the dog...

I knew it was time to think about going back to work when I was on maternity leave when I started seriously considering recording afternoon TV. Doctors was good but Diagnosis Murder and Father Dowling Investigates were what really had me gripped!

Did you see the one with Sylvester McCoy, where he played an ageing actor who was famous for his role in an educational time-travel show? Fabulous :)

No, I didn't, and annoyingly I can't find a torrent for it now or anything, because any kind of search for "sylvester mccoy doctors" comes up - unsurprisingly - with a whole load of other stuff - grr!
