Listen in, listen Ian!
When did M&S clothes become such sh!tty quality though? I won't buy socks there any more, as they seem to wear out after being worn very few times, and now the bath robe I bought there six months ago if that has a big hole in it.

I haven't noticed them being rubbish. I bought £23-worth of socks in March 2007 and they're all still going, if beginning to look a bit threadbare in places.

I too gave up on M&S socks (mens, natch) because of this.
Next do some so called 'luxury' socks that are indeed luxurious. Get some of them.

Who do you think you are, Jeremy Paxman?

(I'm currently wearing an M&S bathrobe that I bought in 2003. That must have been before the bad times.)

I'm wearing a shawl I bought in 1989. The only holes in it are ones I put there myself.

Have they only recently gone downhill? I bought some socks from M&S last April - they're still in really good nick while all the other socks from last year are 80% hole.

Are you buying from their cheap range? I have just been given a hideous allergic reactions from their cheap range tights.

I've stopped buying knickers there since they sneakily changed the style of pants in the packet, but kept the packet the same. And G had an allergic reaction to some socks of theirs - the fancy stay-fresh ones.
