Listen in, listen Ian!
Another excellent thing is David Mitchell's column in The Observer, which is one of about three remaining reasons to buy it these days.

Right, bed!

"He was just trying to reach out to another human and got me instead"

David Mitchell is lovely. I think, as national treasures go, I might even prefer him to Stephen Fry. I'd tap that, but his startled face would make me feel guilty.

I liked For half the week, strangers were exchanging twinkly-eyed glances as if to say: "Yes, we can all see it. A slight thing has happened."

He's definitely getting towards Fry level. I hope they bring out a book of these columns.

He's also got a weirdly-sponsored CGI-background video monologue thing, if you've not seen it.

It greatly disappoints me that his pinpoint demolition of other people's lazy jokes isn't allowed to extend to those of the chairman, on the News Quiz.

I love David Mitchell. His comments about recycling on the News Quiz the other week made me want to give him a big hug.
