Listen in, listen Ian!
the gauntlet was thrown down (that is to say, I snatched the gauntlet from carsmilesteve's hand and dropped it on the floor but whatevs.Yesterday |
So, I went to the bookie's at lunchtime and came up with:
2.05 - Diamond Harry
2.40 - Cooldine
4.00 - Lough Derg
4.40 - Giorgio Quercus
Man, I've not been to the races for ages. I used to go loads with my dad when I was little, and then I carrried on going a bit after leaving home but I've not been since I moved to London. Any Londonists fancy a trip to one of the local courses some time?
Aw, man I'd love to - I'm pretty much glued to the Cheltenham Festival on Ch4 during the day. But what with the whole not being able to do anything thing, alas, no.
Yeah, boo to that. One day though!
You could invite a Small, Select Group of Friends round and place bets online. It could be like Cheltenham in your living room, only more refined and with better decor.
Also, you could strap roller-skates to the cats and place bets on them.
despite not knowing chiller
i really really want to see rollerskating cats, and also to bet on them ;)
It would be more fun placing bets on the length of survival of anyone who tried to strap roller skates on Anton.
Diamond Harry was Chris Kamara's nap of the day according to the guardian blog!
a third then (did you do e/w?)
i would like to go to the horsies yes, although i do prefer jumps to flat, but as long as it's not all-weather...
Yup, 10p ew Lucky 15.
I slightly prefer flat, but like you the main condition is no all-weather.
I put £1 on Rebecca's Choice...at 200/1 This donkey ain't gonna win but what the hell, eh? :D
bvgger bvgger bvgger i was TOTALLY going to bet on Ski Sunday, I mean, how could i be so silly as to ignore a name like that?
you have won today, 9/4 winner and 4/1 place vs my 4/11 winner and 4/1 place. ah well there's always tomorrow ;)
