My nice little camera stopped working a month or two ago, and while the warranty's still valid, I got round to sending it off to Canon to be repaired this week, enclosing as requested a copy of the purchase receipt. When I got in just now there was a letter from them acknowledging receipt of the camera, and asking me to send them a copy of the receipt. Sigh. Probably much quicker to just send another one, isn't it, than tell them that I already have.
