On This Day [Apr. 20th, 2004|12:39 pm]
Listen in, listen Ian!
I have one of those tear off calendars at work, and at the top of each day's page it has a little "on this day in history" bit. Today's says:

"1961 - The New 'Pop Art' movement becomes popular."

What, so everyone got up that morning thinking "that 'Pop Art' is shite, but went to bed loving it? Reckon. Could do better, calendar people.

And yet in 2003 when the Pet Shop Boys released PopArt, their career spanning greatest hits, it didn't even make the album top 20.

Where's the justice, hmm?

But if The Pet Shop Boys had released 'PopArt' on this day in 1961, it obviously would've shot straight to the top of the charts. So that's where they went wrong then. Ah!

Plus it would have been a pretty impressive achievement for a a six year old and a one year old.
