Listen in, listen Ian!
So, this weekend I have mostly been partying in gardens, both mine and not mine. On Saturday, I went to miss_newham's to sit in her garden, eat her potatoes and shoot the breeze with various lovely people. I saw bits of pink_weasel's amazing Doctor Who blanket and talked about (but not in) Welsh.

Yesterday I had a BBQ in my garden. My building has a great garden at the back that nobody ever seems to use. It's a bit of a wilderness, mostly concreted over but neglected so that plants are still growing in most of it. As people were going to be in and out all afternoon, I decided it was a good time to give Spike and Lynda their first taste of the outside world, and I thought they might like to come and join us in the garden. What happened was that Spike, who despite being a big old bully with Lynda all the time is really a big soppy coward, lurked inside looking alarmedly at the outside world, while Lynda wandered off god knows where and got lost in the building somewhere. I can only assume she wandered through a cat flap into someone else's flat, but not long after everyone had left she wandered back in much to my relief, as well as to Spike's who'd been looking a bit mournful in her absence. She seemed a bit nervous at first and was hissing a bit at Spike, but she soon settled down. Later on when I was in bed I could hear lots of running around going on, so I'm pretty sure they're both alright now. When I got up this morning (an hour late, due to forgetting to switch my alarm over to weekday time last) they were fully back to food demanding form.

Sorry I didn't make it to your BBQ - I was still feeling a bit weird because I think I was fighting off whatever weird vomming disease infected mrs_leroy_brown and piratemoggy. Luckily because I am a MAN I didn't vom.

Oh, thanks for updating on Lynda's whereabouts - I'm glad she came back.

My arm is totally fine now, too. Wasps of the world beware, I'll take you all on!

hooray for Spike and Lynda! I would have thought Spike would have been the more adventurous one, but sound like Lynda has a few tricks up her, um, paws.
