Listen in, listen Ian!
This is a very Monday Monday isn't it? I'm on late helpdesk cover so I'm at work until seven today. I've got a big blister on my right little toe, that I acquired yesterday when S and I started doing the Capital Ring walk yesterday, and I've not got my glasses with me because I left them at S's this morning.

But yes, we went walking yesterday, which was interesting. If you've never seen Woolwich in the February drizzle, you really needn't bother going out of your way to, because it's a bit bleak. Maryon Wilson Park is a bit nicer - it has deer, sheep, goats, horses and chickens in it in a farm bit that is under threat of closure according to the heartfelt bits of paper the local children have attached to the fences. Tsk.

If you are planning to do this walk at any stage, I must also warn you that there's not really anywhere along the way to stop and eat. We had to resort to the cafe in the Queen Elizabeth hospital.

I can ask my other friend who did it if he had a similar problem? Be warned that the answer may be "pack a lunch"

Yeah, it's not very handy for stopping round there. Are you using the guides though? They very helpfully tell you where there are places to stop along the way for each of the routes and are availble online. :D

The Capital Ring walk is great! Are you going clockwise or anti-clockwise? I am concerned that if you started in Woolwich, your grand finale might be in Beckton. That would be sad.
